Alain Neffe (born 1949) stands out as a significant figure in the Belgian and international underground scene of the 1980s. He was a highly active and prolific multi-instrumentalist, producer, and label owner, involved in numerous musical projects and collaborations.

One of his notable ventures was Pseudo Code, formed with Xavier S. (Xavier Stenmans) and Guy Marc Hinant, which marked the beginning of his success. Pseudo Code's experimental approach and distinctive sound contributed to their recognition within the underground music community.

Neffe also collaborated extensively with his wife, Nadine Bal (also known as Benedict G.), in projects such as BeNe GeSSeRiT, where their creative partnership flourished. Their music, characterized by quirky melodies and eccentric lyrics, gained attention both locally and internationally.

Additionally, Neffe was active in the tape-culture movement of the time, operating his own label, Insane Music.
